Whenever you asked Denis how he was, no matter how he felt, he was slways 'dreadful'!  
That was Denis's dry sense of humour! 😎

i have known Denis since 2004 since working with him in Port Harcourt sn latterly in Lagos.

He was a true professional and took his work seriously.

He would stand on ceremony for noone and always call a spade a spade!

Denis was so generous to all his loyal staff, so much so that he would often leave himself short, but thoght nothing of it!  He came across as an old grump with a titanium exterior, but really inside he was as soft as marshmellow and had a 'heart of gold'

We worked well together and Denis was a true friend. I haven't seen him in person sunce 2018 (see photo, glass of red wine in hand as usual!) but we have kept in touch.  He will be sadly missed by myself and all those many people who got to know the 'real' Denis.
